Introduction
Hello and welcome to my online portfolio. It has been developed in response to people wanting to know what sort of painting I do. Up until now I have been reluctant to give a precise answer to this question because I am still exploring different ways of working in oil and pastel, which are my current mediums of choice. A website, however, has the advantage of being able to illustrate the journey that most artists take as they gain new insights and sometimes change direction. It is my hope that, over time, such a progression will be reflected in the gallery sections of this site - anyway, we shall see how it goes!
Although my primary purpose is as stated above, I have also included a guest section for other artists to showcase their work for a limited period. Anyone wishing to use this free facility should send me an email by clicking (from any page) on the "Contact Me" link in the site header and I will get back to them to discuss details.
Finally, it must be said that I have gone through a steep learning curve to achieve an online presence. The "techno-speak" within software manuals has always dampened my enthusiasm for DIY website projects - that is until I came across a web design software package for Mac computers called Sandvox.. This application is both flexible and intuitive and it has more than met all that I was expecting from it. I cannot give it a stronger endorsement.
